Where to Stay
Stay in the heart of downtown, close to some of the best attractions. This hotel is newly remodeled and has all of the amenities for a comfortable stay. My friend and I enjoyed our stay here and found it convenient since it was near many public transportation options. We loved exploring during the day and going to the hotel to chill for a few hours before heading out for the night.

For a more fancy stay with old-school charm, stay at the Omni Parker House hotel. This hotel is even more in downtown and is the perfect option for a little romantic getaway. It has all the elements of elegance and leisure.
Where to Eat and Drink
Enjoy a lovely Italian dinner in an intimate setting at Grotto. This restaurant in Beacon Hill is easy to miss since you have to go down a short flight of stairs to get inside. It looks “meh” from the outside, but once you step inside, you’re wrapped in a cloud of coziness.

We had the rucola salad, escargot, bolognese, gnocchi, and tiramisu. All were fantastic!
You can’t leave Boston without trying some seafood! Order Tuna Crudo, oysters, clam chowder, and a lobster roll to make sure you get a taste of everything.
I had multiple friends tell me to try Tatte and I’m not going to lie…I thought it was going to be over-rated. But I was wrong! The baked goods were all fresh, the espresso was strong, and the sweet French Toast was so fluffy and delicious.
Grab a drink at this local cash-only watering hole. Sit at the bar and marvel at the kitschy memorabilia all over the place. Don’t forget to take selfies in the mirror!

Where to Explore
The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile walk that covers important landmarks. You can find a tour group, or just follow any self-guided tour to complete it. While exploring Boston on foot, you get to learn a bit of history. The streets are mainly cobblestone, so you can even pretend you’re in Europe.

Follow the red line on the sidewalk and stop by parks, churches, and other landmarks to learn about the American Revolution and beyond!
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

Make reservations ahead of time and explore this beautiful museum.
Fun fact: during a heist in 1990, 13 art pieces were stolen from this museum and it’s still a mystery as to what happened!
Check out some fine art! I really enjoyed seeing work by Claude Monet and Renoir.

If you’re in the mood for some contemporary art, check out the ICA! There’s also a water shuttle that you can take to the ICA Watershed, the ICA’s second museum that’s open during the summer months.
Where to Hang Out
Go to an improv show. Located in the North End, this is a great spot to end the night.
Take a leisurely stroll through this garden which is America’s first public botanical garden!

Head over to Cambridge to take a walk around this cute college town. If it’s Commencement weekend, be prepared for lots of people celebrating their Harvard grads!
