I moved back to my parents’ home, which meant that I would be back in my teenage bedroom.

I had a lot of good memories there, like rocking out to Muse in the confines of my space. But most of my memories include me sitting at my desk, journaling about my fears and anxieties, and crying about intense schoolwork (I was in a program that prepared students for college-level coursework).

So, when I walked into my room almost 2 months ago, its moody sea-green walls swallowed me whole and I knew I had to make a change to feel happy and fresh. I went on Pinterest and pinned Copenhagen-style room decor and eclectic style bedrooms to my vision board.

I dragged my dad to Home Depot, where we bought fresh pink paint and then got to work. Within a day, my bedroom was transformed into a pink dream. I’m absolutely obsessed with it and I had to share my favorite decor pieces that helped turn my teenage nightmare into a teenage dream.

When setting the tone for a good mood, the case for pink is always a good idea.
